Book Review of: London In The Dark!

London In The Dark: Christian Mystery, Thriller, Suspense (Light of London Series Book 1)

About:

London, 1910
Budding Private Detective Cyril Arlington Hartwell has a conundrum. London is being ravaged by the largest run of thefts in recent history. His hunch that it is all tied together may put him and those he loves in more danger than he could have reckoned.
Olivia Larken Hartwell is just home from boarding school for the summer anticipating time with her adoring parents. She misses her absent brother, Cyril, hoping for the day he will finally come home. But tragedy strikes, causing upheaval for all concerned and changes her life in a way she never could have imagined.
Olivia, Cyril, and their friends must bring the hidden to light, seek to execute justice, and dispel the darkness that hovers over London… and their hearts.

My Review

Genre: Mystery, Historical, Christian Fiction.
My Rating: 5 Stars.
Recommendation: Anyone 15+ (Warning below.) who likes Detective stories or mysteries with a wholesome Christian outlook.

My favorite character/s: Olivia Hartwell is a very sweet character, broken-hearted, she just makes you want to hug her!
My Verse for Olivia is Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. English Standard Version

Doctor Dudley Woodsworth is a great guy, I love his strength of character, his selflessness, how he is always a friend to Cyril even when Cyril is being cold and heartless.
My Verse for Dudley is Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. English Standard Version

My thoughts: I love Miss Lynn’s writing style, how she weaves a lesson into her stories. Her stories are interesting and not all that predictable. I look forward to reading more by Miss Lynn

Spoiler/Warning!

Warning: There is an accident which is very detailed, showing how two characters were killed. That is the only reason I suggest 15+ instead of 13+ or a family read.
