About: Revolutionary War Era England
Marjorie Kirk is a woman with no fortune, no prospects, no family, and no skills. Or so she thinks. She is awkward, shy, and the farthest thing from any semblance of a society lady.
The new minister keeps turning up in the most awkward of places and she can’t help but feel that her life is doomed to one of embarrassment. But will her flaws actually be the thing that others find the most attractive?
A story of a young woman with social anxiety and how she learned to bloom.
Genre: Historical, Romanicish, Christian Fiction.
My Rating: 5 Stars.
My favorite character/s: Marjorie is a sweet, friendly character. I liked how she treated all of the other characters. I felt bad that she felt the need to change.
My Verse for Marjorie is Psalm 27:10
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. King James Version.
My thoughts: This was a sweet little book. I enjoyed how Miss Lynn was able to develop the characters so well in so short of a story. It was sweet, funny, serious and a little bit sad.
