Blog Tour: Book Review, Author Interview, and a GIVEAWAY!!!

1 of 2 blog tours I signed up for today! Both of the blog tours are awesome, as are the books, and their authors!

Angel Cutler’s routine life is overturned when local ganglord Viktor Marino tries to kidnap her. When she finds out her adopted sister is back in town and working with Viktor, Angel has to run away with the protection of two total strangers. Can Angel have faith in God to protect her family when she can’t?

Elijah Davis has seen Viktor bleed once, and to save his family, he’ll make it happen again. But who is the One Eli can turn to when he realizes he can’t protect his loved ones alone?

Hiding from gangsters and gunfire, the trio struggle to seek God above all else and trust that His plan is greater than their own. Or Viktor Marino’s.

My review:

Genre: Suspense, Christian Fiction, Contemporary.

My Rating: 5 stars.

My Recommendation: 13 up because of slight violence.

My Favorite character/s: Asher is awesome! I loved how he was always cool, and reeeeeeeally want to read his story!!! But anyway, he’s funny and made me laugh many times. I enjoyed where he and other characters talked, prayed, and saved each other!?!

My Verse for Asher is 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (King James Version.)
The other characters are fantastic too, but I don’t want to give anything away!

My Thoughts: This book is the best suspense I have ever read! (Seriously!) And this book had better spiritual content than most books I read, which was awesome!

I like being able to feel the faith of the characters and their author, and not just read words that implied faith in God. I felt for the characters more because of the spiritual content that Angela wove into her story, and I plan on checking out her other book!
(Duh, I should have already done this but… No good excuses.)

Parts of the story were sad, some sweet, others joyful and even some worrying, I was pulled in, and didn’t want it to end and am looking forward to reading her other book when I don’t have 60 plus books to review!

(I received this book from the author for my honest review and I am truly happy to provide it!)

Now a bit about Angela and my interview!

Angela R. Watts is a Christian fiction author who strives to glorify the Lord in all she does. She’s a homeschooled highschooler living at Step By Step Sanctuary, Tennessee, though with Gypsy and Norwegian in her blood, she tends to travel. She’s been writing stories since she was little, but also enjoys chores, painting, and watching sunsets.

Now an interview with Angela!

What was the first story you completed?
The first story I ever completed was a novella called Flying And Diving. I wrote it when I was twelve years old. It was actually a serial story I posted on my blog, so that’s how The Peculiar Messenger started out, ha! Unfortunately, I lost the manuscript like a young fool by deleting it and forgetting to back it up. Ha!
Who is your biggest inspiration when you write?
The Lord. Basically. He inspires me to write by filling my soul with ideas and showing me billions of things in my life that spark me. He’s given me a family who constantly encourage me, and they’re greatly inspiring, too!
Of the books you have published, which is your favorite
I can’t choose, ha! I adore The Thief, The Damsel, And The Dragon (and Sean is a precious dude), but Seek is very dear to my heart.
Out of all your characters which is your least favorite?
Michelle, because of how closely I based her off of my adopted sister, who praise God, left a few years ago. It was difficult writing the character of Michelle because I wanted to stay true to a narcissist’s behavior.
Ironically, while I disliked Michelle, Viktor was a huge favorite of mine. 😉
What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
Ah! So, actually, I haven’t celebrated Christmas my whole life! Over the past years, though, I’ve gotten many favorite traditions. Like watching Christmas movies, making cookies, putting up the tree, finger foods on Christmas Eve, singing Christmas songs, and more.

1st Place: A signed paperback of Seek and a mug with a Scripture verse on it! 2nd Place: An ebook copy of Seek!
