Check out this snow poem a writer friend wrote! I’m getting snow right now, how about you?!
Earlier this week, I woke up to a thin layer of snow covering the ground. Though it quickly melted, it was beautiful while it lasted, and it inspired me to write this poem.
I don’t usually write haiku poems, but I thought it would be fun to try it this week, and I ended up writing four put together into one long poem. (Haiku poems don’t normally rhyme, but I made this one rhyme for fun 😊).
Falling from a cloud,
White and shining in the sun,
Landing on the ground.
To the touch, freezing;
Icy pattern intricate,
Compared to others
Different; yet beautiful
Shining sun appears,
The snowflake begins to melt;
It then disappears.
Do you like snow? Has it snowed where you live this year?
Do you prefer cold or warm weather? Talk to me in the comments!
