Review of Love Needs No Words
About: Home from college for the summer, Shay Williams has many plans. Crossing paths with her childhood crush was not on the list. Yet when Daniel Rogers, a young mute man, reappears in her life, the friendship that once blossomed between them is rekindled.
Daniel is mesmerized by this sweet girl who has a heart for deaf and mute children. But is it wrong of him to want to know her better, considering his inability? The last thing he wants to become is another charity case.
Follow these two young people through a summer of discovery as they learn valuable truths about friendship and love – a love that speaks not from the lips but from the heart.
My Rating: 5 stars!
My Recommendation: Anyone! This is a perfect romance for almost all audiences though it is better for 13 up since it is romance and there is bullying.
My Favorite Character/s: Daniel and Shay were so sweet that I can’t pick a favorite!
My Verse for Shay is Proverbs 8:32
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. (King James Version)
My Verse for Daniel is Proverbs 29:23
A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. (King James Version)
My Thoughts: This short story is so perfect, sweet, and romantic without a single bit of embarrassing content.
Warnings: A character is bullied and beaten, and there are insults.
And my review of Dandelion Dust
About: Like a speck of dandelion dust riding the tides of a prairie wind, life is fleeting. Though I never realized just how fragile it was until that day . . .
Charity always had a dream. It was simple, really. Find a guy, fall in love, and get married. The day she met Ryder, Charity knew he was the man God had chosen for her. But she never expected their relationship to be tested and tried through the fires of a freak accident. Suddenly, her world is thrown into chaos, and the bleak, white walls and sterile smells of a city hospital fill every spare minute. And then there comes the dreaded news. It was likely Ryder would never make it out of the hospital bed.As her carefully laid plans for the future come crashing down around her and the sun seems to set on her dreams, can Charity still find hope in the dark of night?
Like a dandelion, life is beautiful. But treasure every moment. . . . for one day, the flower will be gone.
My Rating: 5 stars!!! (I would give this story ten stars if I could!)
My Recommendation: 13 up for romance though it is clean and younger readers would enjoy this novella.
My Favorite Character/s: All of them! I just can’t pick, just like with Love Needs No Words, each of the characters are so perfect and sweet.
My Thoughts: Oh, goodness! This story is so so stinkin’ good! I absolutely LOVED this novella! I had this book on my kindle for a while, I got it back in November of last year. And I only got around to it now, which is so sad! Now, that I’ve read it I am in love with the characters and story; it was so purely loveable!
Warnings: An accident, mentions of a character dying, mentions of blood.
