We’ve spent a month on “Befriending the Beast,” a month on “The Secret Slipper,” and now, are looking at a month digging into “Protecting the Poor”—the history behind it, behind-the-scenes of writing and editing, the messages threaded through it, and more. Amanda Tero began her love for words at a young age—reading anything she could get her hands on and penning short stories as young as age eight. Since graduation, she has honed her writing skills by dedicated practice and study of the writing craft. She began her journey of publication with a few short stories that she had written for her sisters and continued to add to her collection with other short stories, novellas, and novels. It is her utmost desire to write that which not only pleases her Lord and Savior, but also draws the reader into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

About Befriending The Beast: Belle has returned unannounced to the castle to restore her relationship with the king, her father. Her hopes are dashed with the devastating message: “The king refuses to see you.” Convinced that God has led her home, she is unwilling to return to Lord and Lady Kiralyn. Time is running out for the decision that will change her life. When tragedy strikes, will she and her father be pulled further apart or knit together? Could she stay at the castle even if she will never see her father again?
My Review of Befriending The Beast: This is a inspirational story of a girl who has lost much but find her place in Jesus and is seeking His will. A princess, a golden horse, a secret garden, they all mix together and give a wonderful story of forgiveness, healing, and love.
A novella that it’s appropriate for all of the family and can be read aloud with say to understand wording and a sweet ending.
About The Secret Slipper: Being a cripple is only the beginning of Lia’s troubles. It seems as if Bioti’s goal in life is to make Lia as miserable as possible. If Lia’s purpose is to be a slave, then why did God make her a cripple? How can He make something beautiful out of her deformity?
Raoul never questioned the death of his daughter until someone reports her whereabouts. If Ellia is still alive, how has she survived these ten years with her deformity? When Raoul doesn’t know who to trust, can he trust God to keep Ellia safe when evidence reveals Bioti’s dangerous character?
As time brings more hindrances, will Raoul find Ellia, or will she forever be lost to the father she doesn’t even know is searching for her?
My Review of The Secret Slipper: Oh goodness! This it’s honestly one of my favorite medieval fantasy books since its more of a historical fiction but anyway it it’s beautiful! I love the themes and everything. A Cinderella like story except the prince is the father instead of a love interest. A lovely continuation of this series.
About Protecting The Poor: Sheriff Feroci is now lord over the province, and Abtshire has become a pit of injustice. Being forced into the lord’s service does not give Dumphey as many opportunities to help the poor as he desires. When attempts on his life drive him into the forest, this freedom opens a world of possibilities for helping others. But how can he do so when he is running for his life? And does God want him to do more than simply feed the poor?
Noel has always hidden behind the shadow of his older brother, Dumphey. When life forces him to stand on his own, will he still follow God in the corrupt world in which he lives? Would God really call him to do something that is beyond his power to do?
As Lord Feroci’s sinister plot comes to light, each lad has a choice to make. A choice that could cost them their lives.
My Review of Protecting The Poor: Aaaaaahhhh, this was spectacular! I loved this like novella so much! It was wonderful!!!!! I just, the characters are so real so realistic! The faith in this book was so good and clear without being preachy. This is by far my favorite of Amanda Tero’s stories and I hope you check it out! You won’t regret it.
This one is a little more mature but still a great read for everybody!
